The SmartGreenFactory project is an ongoing project aimed at creating a dynamic digital ecosystem connecting farmers, farmer cooperatives, and agri-startups to promote sustainable job opportunities in rural areas and startup hubs across Cameroon. This project  develops a comprehensive digital platform that provides essential information and resources to help launch and sustain farming and agri-startup projects tailored to specific locations within Cameroon.

The platform  offers training and support to at least 50 farming projects annually, focusing on generating employment for young people and women. It also provides guidance on sustainable agriculture practices and promote sustainable tourism related to local plants. Additionally, SmartGreenFactory  features a marketplace to facilitate the sale and distribution of products from these farming projects, enhancing market access and economic viability.

By equipping users with the knowledge, tools, market opportunities, and sustainable practices needed to succeed in agriculture, SmartGreenFactory  empowers communities, enhance agricultural productivity, and foster economic growth.

Core Services and Features

The Smart Green Factory brings together a comprehensive range of green initiatives, including:

  • Renewable energy integration: Each factory is powered by renewable energy sources like solar and wind, aiming at operating entirely off the grid or with minimal reliance on non-renewable energy.

  • Sustainable materials sourcing: Raw materials used in production are sustainably sourced, ensuring a lower environmental impact from extraction to final product.
