According to organizations such as the World Economic Forum and The World Bank, 50 - 85 million people will be needed to fill new technology roles by 2035, as almost every company at any scale today needs to undergo digital transformation. Africa can help solve this problem given the proper training and working environment for its increasingly young population.

In fact, Africa's population is projected to nearly double to 2.5 billion over the next 25 years. While birthrates are continuously declining in other continents, Africa's baby boom continues, creating the youngest population on earth. This means that Africa's workspace will be larger than China’s and India’s by 2035. With initiatives that train technology and corporate professional- or leadership skills (business ethics, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, design thinking, etc.), shortages of staff in the field of technology can be addressed.

This program aims at fostering the employability of young people in Africa, especially in the digital field. To this date, Mapubi has helped train over 5,000 young people in Nigeria and Cameroon through different projects such as  AfricasTalentHub and Booking Africa

For example, with AfricasTalentHub, we created a platform where unemployed people can present their business ideas. They receive coaching and, when promising, further financial support.

Additionally, we offer internships for graduates who have difficulties finding a job, where they learn to enhance their skills in digitalization.

Finally, through the SmartGreenFactory, we help build sustainable rural communities by imparting communities with biological, regenerative, and sustainable agriculture methods with the help of digital tools. The project also promotes eco-tourism in rural communities.
