At MAPUBI, we embrace all Africans, whether at home or in the african diaspora, as well as friends of Africa. Joining our vibrant community is simple: interested individuals can request membership through our MapubiLabs office, with final approval from the MAPUBI e.V. board of directors.
Member Categories
Our members are proudly categorized into two distinct groups: 1. College of Supporters – Open exclusively to individuals. Membership is governed by Article 6 of our bylaws.
2. College of Partners – Comprising registered companies, groups, or associations that actively engage in initiatives aligned with our mission. Applicants are expected to demonstrate involvement in relevant projects, subject to validation by our board. Each organization may appoint one representative, provided they do not represent another entity within the same college. All members must remain current with annual dues as outlined in their agreements with the board.
Additional Membership Options
– Supporting Members: This category includes individuals and legal entities (like communities and associations) who may choose to apply for college membership upon meeting the annual contribution requirement. Supporting members stay informed about board discussions and decisions, and their contributions can be financial or in-kind, pending board approval.
– Honorary Members: Awarded at the board’s discretion, honorary membership recognizes outstanding contributions by individuals or organizations. There is no cap on the number of honorary members, and this status can coexist with regular membership, whether dues-paying or not.
Membership Fees
To complete your registration, an annual fee of €50 for students and €100 or more for professionals is required.
